Job Title

Are you passionate about improving patient safety and making a tangible difference across an organisation? Do you want to be part of a team that doesn’t just respond to incidents, but learns, improves, and leads change?

We are looking for a motivated, organised and values-driven Patient Safety and Clinical Risk Facilitator to join our Trust-wide Patient Safety and Clinical Risk Team at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT).

This is a key facilitation and support role at the heart of the Trust’s Patient Safety and Clinical Risk work. You will play a vital part in ensuring that patient safety incidents and learning processes are well-managed, robust and translated into meaningful improvement, communicating learning identified in a relatable and accessible format across the organisation.

If you bring strong communication and analytical skills, with a real attention to detail, and enjoy using data to identify learning and drive improvement, this could be a great opportunity.

If you’re someone who routinely supports colleagues to build their knowledge and confidence, and you’re motivated by making care safer for patients, families and staff, we’d really like to hear from you.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
