Location: Glasgow Hospital, West End Salary: £13.10 per hour Shifts: Monday–Thursday: 8am–9pm | Friday: 8am–6pm | Weekend availability required

About the Role
As a Patient Service Advisor at our Glasgow Hospital, you’ll deliver vital patient support while building meaningful relationships. This role demands a confident, customer-focused approach, strong data management skills, and the ability to present information professionally and promptly. Excellent IT and keyboard literacy are essential, with administrative or customer-facing experience being a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Support & Administrations
- Handle inbound enquiries (telephone, email, and the website) to provide clients with clear information on hospital services and treatments.
- Deliver world-class customer service—supporting appointments via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
- Manage customer queries efficiently, logging all interactions in the Hospital CRM system.
- Oversee and enhance the entire customer journey, ensuring timely feedback and seamless experiences.

Appointment & Compliance Operations
- Process and confirm patient bookings while ensuring full GDPR compliance.
- Maintain strict adherence to appointments and waitlists, coordinating staff (consultants, medical secretaries) for smooth service delivery.
- Welcome visitors (patients, consultants, guests) with a warm and professional greeting.
Client Data & Administrative Tasks
- Accurately transfer clinic lists onto PIMS (Patient Information Management System), avoiding duplicate records through meticulous attention to detail.
- Monitor and process incoming departmental emails efficiently.
Room Coordination
- Allocate clinic rooms, assessing priority and availability to avoid conflicts with medical appointments.
- Check-in patients—the first point of contact—and schedule future appointments either in-person or over the phone.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you should possess: ✅ Exceptional customer service skills—prioritising patient satisfaction ✅ Proven experience in a customer-facing environment (ideal, but open to motivated candidates) ✅ Strong written and verbal communication for diverse interactions ✅ High interpersonal skills to engage with patients, staff, and stakeholders ✅ Adept IT literacy, including data entry and CRM systems ✅ Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
