Full-time | Permanent | 37.5 hours per week | £32,500 per annum plus excellent benefits
Spire Regency Hospital, Macclesfield has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Patient Services Manager to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Spire Regency Hospital, Macclesfield takes pride in providing a high standard of care to all patients. Offering a wide range of specialties, the hospital provides fast access to expert healthcare, from consultations and diagnosis through to personalised treatment and aftercare.
Contract type: Permanent, full-time
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm
As Patient Services Manager, you will play a key role in leading, motivating and supervising the Patient Services and Reception teams. This will include oversight of Medical Records, Medical Secretaries, Ward Administration, Theatre Administration and Pre-Operative Administration. You will be responsible for ensuring a consistently high-quality service is delivered to both internal and external customers, while leading by example with excellent communication skills and a positive, patient-focused approach to customer care.
Key duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Managing the day-to-day administrative duties within the department.
- Leading the Patient Services and Main Reception teams which includes Medical records, Medical Secretaries, Ward admin, Theatre admin and Pre op admin and ensuring colleagues are motivated, supported and developed in line with their personal development plans.
- Managing and maintaining staff records, including holidays, sickness and absence management.
- Ensuring effective governance of medical records.
- Ensuring compliance with medical records policies and relevant healthcare requirements.
- Ensuring all areas under your supervision are maintained to the highest standards, in accordance with health and safety and hygiene legislation.
- Managing the department and organising staff rotas in line with hospital activity, ensuring a patient-centred approach to service delivery.
- Ensuring appropriate staffing levels are in place on a daily basis to allow the hospital to function safely and effectively.
- Demonstrating clear leadership qualities and supporting the wider team where required.
