Are you ready to embark on an exciting career as a Patient Services Receptionist at our state-of-the-art cancer centre in Oxford?

Join our dedicated team at GenesisCare UK and become the welcoming face of our centre, delivering an exceptional experience for every patient, visitor, and colleague who walks through our doors.

As a Patient Services Receptionist, you'll play a key role in creating a positive first impression for our patients while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of reception and supporting the wider administration team. You'll provide outstanding customer service, manage a busy reception environment, and help deliver a seamless patient journey from arrival through to departure.

What You'll Do

  • Welcome patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals with warmth and professionalism.
  • Act as the first point of contact for the centre, managing enquiries both in person and over the telephone.
  • Support patients throughout their visit, including assisting with paperwork, directing appointments, and communicating any delays.
  • Work closely with the Patient Administration team to ensure appointments and patient records are accurately maintained.
  • Process documentation, scan patient information, and ensure records remain accurate and confidential.
  • Coordinate patient transport where required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception environment.
  • Order reception supplies and undertake a variety of administrative duties to support the efficient operation of the centre.
  • Build positive working relationships with colleagues across clinical and administrative teams to deliver an exceptional patient experience.

What You'll Have

  • Previous experience working within a busy reception or front-of-house environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • An empathetic and professional approach when supporting patients and visitors.
  • Previous healthcare experience is advantageous but not essential.
