Job Description

Start here. Grow here.

We invite an Engineer to join our multidisciplinary pavement engineering and construction materials team, working across airports, ports, highways, and transport infrastructure.

This early-career opportunity is ideal for engineers beyond graduate level, offering the chance to develop expertise, refine judgment, and gain broad experience by collaborating with senior engineers on diverse projects. Roles are not limited to a single discipline—workshape is tailored to project needs and individual development goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pavement design for new construction, maintenance, assessment, and evaluation projects across airports, ports, highways, and related infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers, project teams, and multidisciplinary experts to deliver technical solutions.
  • Provide technical advice on construction materials (e.g., aggregates, asphalt, concrete, hydraulically bound mixtures, soils), assessing properties, performance, and behaviour.
  • Perform engineering calculations, analysis, and contribute to technical reports, specifications, and contract documentation.
  • Assist with site-based activities (e.g., inspections, sampling, supervision) as required.
  • Research, apply, and interpret engineering standards/specifications; seek guidance from peers/mentors when needed.
  • Utilise standard tools (e.g., Excel) and gain exposure to data-driven and digital solutions as capability grows.
  • Offer limited CAD support (not core focus but enhances adaptability).
  • Deliver projects within scope and budgeted hours.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
