About The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable professional to join our dynamic finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a reputable organization that is experiencing a period of positive growth and transformation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices, bank reconciliations, and maintaining supplier accounts in compliance with internal controls and payment deadlines. Working closely with suppliers, internal departments, and branch teams, the Accounts Payable Clerk will play a vital role in supporting the efficiency and accuracy of our financial operations. This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications
- Prior experience in a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable role, particularly within high-volume invoice processing environments.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and experience with accounting software, preferably SAP.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proactive approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Background in finance or accounting qualifications such as AAT or similar is advantageous, but not mandatory for highly experienced candidates.
Responsibilities
- Processing a high volume of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently in accordance with company policies and payment deadlines.
- Performing regular bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Handling supplier queries promptly and professionally, resolving issues to maintain positive supplier relationships.
- Maintaining and updating supplier accounts, ensuring all information is current and accurate.
- Supporting month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
- Assisting with internal audits and ensuring compliance with internal controls and company policies.
- Collaborating with internal teams, including procurement and finance, to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Identifying areas for process improvement and implementing best practices within the accounts payable function.
