Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role. The successful candidate will also need to satisfy UK Security Clearance requirements.

Filtronic is growing rapidly. With record revenues, major Space and Defence programme wins, and cutting-edge RF and microwave technology at the heart of next-generation satellite communications, there's never been a better time to join us.

We're looking for a Payload Product Assurance Engineer to play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability and compliance of our space payload products throughout the entire product lifecycle. Working alongside engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and programme teams, you'll help deliver world-class hardware for some of the most demanding space applications.

If you're passionate about quality, thrive in technically challenging environments, and want to help shape the future of high-speed RF communications, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

As our Payload Product Assurance Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring robust product assurance activities are embedded across payload programmes from concept through to customer delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading product assurance activities across payload and space hardware programmes.
  • Ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory and industry standards, including ECSS, ESA and NASA requirements.
  • Working closely with engineering, manufacturing and test teams to embed quality throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Supporting the selection and qualification of space-grade electronic components and materials.
  • Reviewing and approving quality plans, manufacturing documentation, non-conformance reports and release documentation.
  • Leading root cause investigations, corrective actions and Non-Conformance Review Boards (NRBs).
  • Participating in design reviews, manufacturing readiness reviews, customer reviews and programme gate reviews.
  • Monitoring quality metrics, process capability and continuous improvement activities.
  • Maintaining robust configuration control, traceability and documentation.
  • Supporting supplier quality and material/process compliance activities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
