Payload Systems Project Lead

A major contract win has created the need for a senior engineering leader to take ownership of a brand-new programme within one of the space sector's most exciting businesses.

This is not a role where you inherit a mature project and simply keep things moving. You will be stepping into a high-profile programme at the beginning of its journey, leading the systems team and helping shape the technical direction, delivery strategy and overall success of the project.

You will be the person bringing everything together. One day you could be working through complex RF and communications challenges, the next leading key design reviews, managing technical risk, or ensuring multiple engineering disciplines remain aligned towards a common objective.

As the technical lead for the programme, you will guide system architecture decisions, oversee requirements development, drive trade studies and support critical customer interactions. You will have the authority to influence major decisions whilst ensuring the team delivers against technical, cost and schedule objectives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
