Payments Relationship Manager
**Payments Relationship Manager (UK-Based) – Global Digital Marketplace
This role sits within a fast-scaling global digital marketplace, bridging payments strategy, partnership development, and product growth. As a Payments Relationship Manager, you will drive relationship management with payment service providers, while ensuring seamless transactional efficiency, user experience, and business expansion.
In this dynamic and international environment, your influence extends across product strategy, commercial negotiations, performance monitoring, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate is analytical, diplomatic, and thrives in rapidly evolving digital ecosystems, with a proven track record in payments, financial services, or high-growth business environments.
Accountabilities
- Develop and execute data-driven payment strategies aligned with global business objectives, enhancing transaction efficiency and platform growth.
- Manage and expand relationships with existing payment service providers, while identifying, evaluating, and onboard new partners to optimise offerings.
- Lead high-stakes negotiations with payment partners on fees, contracts, and service levels to secure optimal terms and partnership conditions.
- Monitor key performance metrics (transaction success rates, failures, fraud attempts, and processing latency), ensuring rapid issue resolution and compliance.
- Collaborate closely with product, legal, finance, marketing, and customer support teams to integrate seamless payment solutions.
- Conduct strategic ad-hoc analyses and industry research, providing insights to inform payment ecosystem optimisation and future growth.
- Align payment systems with global trends, regulatory demands, and evolving marketplace needs, ensuring scalability and competitiveness.

Requirements
- Proven industry experience in payments, financial services, or commercial business development, ideally within a global/high-growth context.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with payment providers, banks, or financial institutions.
- Strong negotiation experience in contractually binding commercial discussions, including fee structures, SLAs, and risk management.
- Exceptional communicator—ability to digest and articulate complex payment infrastructure issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Agile problem-solving mindset with advanced analytical skills, capable of navigating ambiguous, fast-changing market conditions.
- Hands-on experience in cross-functional project management, from stakeholder alignment to strategic implementation.
- Track record of results-driven performance in initiative-driven roles, with measurable impact on Kadence growth.
- Prior experience with e-commerce platforms, marketplaces, or gaming industries would be highly beneficial.
