Senior Payments Transformation Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced Senior Payments Routing Consultant to join a major payments transformation programme focused on the evolution of a next-generation payments platform.
This is a strategic consulting engagement where you'll lead the discovery, business case development, and delivery strategy for introducing MID-level payment routing, helping to transition from PSP-controlled routing to organisation-owned payment orchestration.
Working alongside senior stakeholders across Product, Commercial, Finance, Treasury, Operations, Risk, Governance, and Technology, you'll play a pivotal role in defining the future of payment routing within a large-scale global payments environment.
The Opportunity
As the lead consultant, you'll:
- Assess the current payments routing landscape,
- Identify opportunities to reduce complexity and improve resilience, and
- Produce a robust business case that will shape future investment decisions.
You'll also define the roadmap for implementing MID-level routing through a next-generation payments platform, supporting long-term ambitions around multi-brand payments and Payment Facilitator capabilities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
