We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Payroll & Accounts Executive to join our Finance & HR teams. This role is responsible for delivering an accurate and timely payroll service while supporting key finance functions, including accounts payable and payroll compliance.
Working closely with Finance & HR, you will ensure payroll is processed efficiently, maintain accurate employee records, support statutory reporting, and provide excellent service to employees and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UK legislation.
- Maintain payroll records, employee data and payroll reporting.
- Manage HMRC submissions, statutory payments and government claims.
- Review payroll-related invoices, including third-party labour costs.
- Act as the main point of contact for payroll system administration and employee payroll queries.
- Support accounts payable activities, including supplier payments, expense claims and bank reconciliations.
- Work collaboratively with HR and Finance to resolve payroll issues and improve processes.
- Assist with payroll audits and ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:
- A Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- A CIPP qualification (or equivalent payroll qualification).
- Previous payroll experience, ideally with exposure to accounts payable.
- A strong understanding of UK payroll legislation, PAYE and payroll compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational and numerical skills.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- The ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
- Experience with Roubler or SAP is advantageous but not essential.
- Previous experience working in a restaurant.
- Previous payroll or finance experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment would be advantageous.
