The role As a Payroll Administrator, you will play a vital role in ensuring our people are paid accurately and on time—supporting the smooth running of essential projects that underpin national security and energy infrastructure.
This is a full-time, 37 hours per week role based in Warrington, Cheshire or Devonport, Plymouth with flexible working patterns available.
Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
Processing payroll data and supporting monthly payroll activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness Checking and inputting timecards, resolving queries and discrepancies efficiently Supporting colleagues and stakeholders with payroll-related queries and administration Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with payroll processes and procedures Working collaboratively with the wider payroll team to meet deadlines and deliver a high-quality service

Essential experience of the Payroll Administrator:
Using Microsoft Excel with confidence, including functions such as VLOOKUP Working in a fast-paced administrative environment with high attention to detail Demonstrating adaptability and the ability to manage changing priorities Communicating effectively with stakeholders and team members Managing workload to meet deadlines and ensure accuracy
Qualifications for the Payroll Administrator:
GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English Payroll or finance-related qualifications would be advantageous Previous payroll experience would be beneficial but not essential
