Payroll Administrator
Location: Biggleswade
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
Working Pattern: Full-Time | Permanent
Office Based: 5 Days Per Week
The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join a growing and professional accountancy practice in Biggleswade.
This role is ideal for a payroll professional with experience working within an accounting firm environment, managing multiple client payrolls and delivering a high-quality service to a diverse client portfolio.
The successful candidate will play a key role within the payroll team, ensuring payrolls are processed accurately, efficiently and in line with current legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and process a portfolio of client payrolls from start to finish.
- Process weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly and monthly payrolls.
- Ensure payrolls are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Process starters, leavers, statutory payments and pension contributions.
- Submit RTI filings to HMRC.
- Respond to payroll-related queries from clients in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data.
- Keep up to date with payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
- Liaise with HMRC, pension providers and other third parties where required.
- Support the wider team with payroll administration and client service activities.

Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience working within an Accountancy Practice.
- Experience managing payrolls for multiple clients.
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and processes.
- Experience using BrightPay is essential.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise workload effectively.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Qualifications
The following will be considered:
- AAT Qualified or Studying
- CIPP Qualified or Studying
- Qualified by Experience (QBE)
Requirements
- Full right to work in the UK.
- Ability to work on-site in Biggleswade five days per week.
