Payroll Administrator (AVP) – Multi-Country Payroll (Financial Services)
£400–£475 per day
12-Month Contract (likely extension)
Hybrid – London
The Opportunity
You’ll be joining a global financial services business operating at real scale – a complex, multi-entity environment covering London, Dublin, and international assignees.
This hire comes at a critical moment. Expat payroll is being brought in-house, a payroll harmonisation programme is kicking off, and there’s a clear need for experienced operators who can stabilise, improve, and help shape what the future state looks like.
This isn’t BAU payroll. It’s about stepping into a live environment, taking ownership quickly, and helping drive a more joined-up, scalable payroll function.
The Role
This is a high-impact payroll position operating across multiple jurisdictions, with real ownership from day one.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
