Payroll Administrator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Administrator to join our Finance team. This role supports the day-to-day operations of the payroll function, including intercompany transactions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of key processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with monthly payroll processing and maintain accurate employee records
  • Support statutory payroll reporting (e.g., P45, P60, P11D) and liaise with HR and Finance teams
  • Maintain documentation for audits
  • Coordinate intercompany recharges and reconciliations across multiple entities
  • Manage filing systems, shared mailboxes and respond to routine requests from the business
  • Support team in setting up bank payments in multiple currencies and posting tax entries into finance systems
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and internal control procedures.

To be successful you should bring:

  • Experience (or desire) in an administrative role within finance or payroll
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and willingness to learn multiple finance system platforms
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Additional desirable qualities:

  • Experience/knowledge of Sage 50 payroll
  • Experience with other finance systems (e.g., Certinia, Agresso)
  • Past experience involving bookkeeping skills or a basic understanding.
