The Role: The number one priority of our Payroll team in HR is to pay our people accurately and on time. This role is critical to achieving this. The over-riding purpose of this role is to deliver outstanding payroll services in line with SLA’s taking responsibility to ensure our people can totally depend on us to pay them accurately and on time every month.

What you’ll be doing: Working effectively and efficiently within the payroll cycle – ensuring our customers are always fully aware of deadlines and their associated responsibilities Deliver pay related administration Managing the time and attendance data extract files to achieve data transfer on time, accurately and as efficiently as possible Maintaining accurate people data Manage pay adjustments including statutory absence and court orders etc. Keying exceptional data Providing data and reporting required by key internal and external stakeholders. Responding to pay related enquiries Using initiative and judgement to identify continuous improvement opportunities and to act upon them Maintaining payroll policy and process documentation to reflect current practice

What technical skills will you need? Understanding and experience of payroll processes and systems (desirable) Understanding and experience of HMRC rules and guidelines associated with payroll (desirable) Strong numeracy skills and ability to manage large volumes of data Good knowledge of Excel Good knowledge of MS Word Good knowledge of outlook
