Payroll Analyst

Job Title: Payroll Analysts

We're looking for two experienced Payroll Analysts to join our Payroll team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Based in Bradford, this role offers hybrid working with an expectation of being in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

This is a hands-on payroll role supporting the delivery of payroll services for a large, complex workforce of approximately 11,500 employees. We're looking for individuals who have managed high-volume payrolls and can confidently hit the ground running from day one.

This role would suit someone with a strong payroll background who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines and a high degree of accuracy. We are specifically seeking experienced payroll professionals with end-to-end payroll processing expertise rather than candidates whose experience is primarily within accounting or finance.

What will you be doing?

  • Resolve complex payroll queries and issues, escalating when required.
  • Process payroll transactions accurately and on time.
  • Support payroll payments, including credit transfers and emergency CHAPS payments.
  • Ensure accurate statutory deductions and timely submission of all statutory returns, including taxable benefits.
  • Manage non statutory deductions, ensuring correct payments and returns to third party organisations.
  • Deliver high quality, customer focused payroll advice to employees, managers, and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain compliance with payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
  • Monitor statutory and company changes and support timely payroll system updates in collaboration with IT teams.
  • Contribute to payroll projects and continuous improvement of systems, processes, and controls.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
