Role at Dynatrace: EMEA Sr. Payroll Specialist

About the Role

Reporting to the EMEA Payroll Operations Lead, the EMEA Sr. Payroll Specialist will oversee day-to-day payroll operations for EMEA Region locations, utilising an outsourced payroll model with Cloudpay. This role collaborates closely with the EMEA Payroll team, as well as broader Finance and HR teams.

This is a hybrid role, requiring 2 days per week (Tuesday and Thursday) based in the Maidenhead office.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily operations of assigned payroll groups, ensuring accurate and timely payment processing including:
    • Salary calculations
    • Deductions
    • Statutory contributions
  • Work closely with HR partners to collect and organise payroll data, prepare templates for submission to third-party vendors, and verify data integrity.
  • Apply in-depth payroll process knowledge to resolve complex scenarios, such as:
    • International assignments
    • Expatriate payroll
    • Cross-border payments
  • Assist the Payroll Lead in managing outsourced payroll operations for the EMEA region.
  • Provide timely support, escalation handling, and stakeholder management for both internal teams and external vendors.
  • Enforce rigorous third-party payment reconciliation and compliance controls.
  • Respond to employee, internal partner and vendor queries.
  • Ensure process controls are established, maintained, validated and updated, where necessary, to comply with relevant regulations.

Requirements & Ideal Qualifications

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Proficiency in English
  • Extensive experience in end-to-end payroll processing across multiple European locations
  • Experience in outsourced payroll environments leveraging Cloudpay (both manual and integrated).
  • Working knowledge of SF&C HCM
  • Attention to detail, strong self-motivation, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Productivity inMicrosoft Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluent German, French, or Spanish (business-level, but not mandatory)
  • Hands-on experience managing stock-based compensation programs.
  • SOX compliance awareness and experience.
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset.
