About The Payroll Client Manager Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Client Manager to join our Steyning office. This is an opportunity supporting the Payroll Team in providing an efficient and comprehensive payroll service to clients.

Key responsibilities of a Payroll Client Manager will include:

  • Supporting the Payroll Team in providing an efficient and comprehensive payroll service to clients
  • Day-to-day administration of client payrolls to include RTI submissions and end of year reporting
  • Processing starters, leavers, SMP, SPP, SSP etc.
  • Uploading pension contributions
  • Assisting with reviewing and checking of payrolls
  • Assisting Payroll Manager with the setup of pension schemes and any new payrolls
  • Dealing with payroll queries
  • Meeting strict deadlines and processing all work with a high degree of accuracy

  • Experience with IRIS Payroll Professional preferred
  • Strong organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Awareness of confidentiality and need for discretion
  • Comprehensive understanding of pensions and automatic enrolment
  • Ability to manually calculate payroll results and explain calculations/breakdown to clients
  • Confident in talking to people to build client relationships
  • Thorough knowledge of payroll related legislation such as PAYE, NI, family leave etc.
