Up to £45,000 DOE + Benefits
We’re pleased to be partnering with a well-established music accountancy firm in Central London to find an experienced Payroll & Finance Coordinator to join their team.
This is a varied role combining end-to-end client payroll processing with bookkeeping and finance support within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
About the Role
This position will focus primarily on payroll, managing multiple client payrolls and ensuring all payroll activities are completed accurately and in line with current legislation.
Alongside payroll responsibilities, you’ll support the wider finance function with bookkeeping and transactional finance tasks, making this an ideal opportunity for someone versatile, who enjoys variety and working across both payroll and finance.
The successful candidate will be proactive, organised and confident working independently, with the ability to manage competing deadlines and take ownership of their workload.

Key Responsibilities
- Processing end-to-end payrolls for a portfolio of clients
- Managing payroll calculations including statutory payments, pensions and tax deductions
- Processing new starters, leavers and payroll amendments
- Ensuring payroll compliance and staying up to date with relevant legislation
- Supporting year-end payroll activities and PAYE requirements
- Liaising with colleagues to obtain accurate payroll information
- Assisting with bookkeeping and finance administration
- Processing purchase and sales invoices
- Performing bank, supplier and credit card reconciliations
- Processing employee expenses and petty cash transactions
- Supporting VAT return preparation
- Maintaining accurate financial records and strong internal controls
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience processing end-to-end payrolls
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation, statutory payments, pensions and PAYE
- Experience managing multiple payrolls and working to strict deadlines
- Good bookkeeping and reconciliation experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Able to work independently and use initiative to resolve issues
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environments
- Strong Excel skills

Desirable
- Experience within an accountancy practice, payroll bureau or professional services environment
- Experience using QuickBooks and/or Xero
- AAT qualified or studying towards an accounting qualification
- Previous experience in a combined payroll and finance role
- Experience supporting process improvements and driving efficiencies
