The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to join a fast-growing international consumer brand during an exciting period of transformation. This is a standalone role where you'll take full ownership of the UK payroll operation for approximately 250 employees across two UK entities. Reporting into HR, you'll work closely with both HR and Finance to ensure payroll is processed accurately, compliantly, and on time every month.
Following a recent migration from ADP to Workday Payroll, you'll also play a key role in improving processes, resolving legacy issues, and embedding best practice across the payroll function. You'll be joining a collaborative, people-first culture within one of the highest-performing businesses in a global organisation, where continuous improvement is encouraged and your expertise will genuinely make a difference.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end monthly payroll for approximately 250 UK employees.
- Process payroll accurately and independently from start to finish.
- Manage HMRC submissions, pensions, and statutory compliance.
- Support the ongoing optimisation of Workday Payroll.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
