Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Payroll Manager role based in York/Easingwold. You will:
- Manage, mentor and develop the payroll team, ensuring workloads are managed effectively and deadlines are met.
- Oversee accurate payroll processing across weekly, fortnight, four-weekly, monthly and annual cycles.
- Set up and maintain pension schemes and provide ongoing pension administration and support.
- Manage year-end procedures and ensure full compliance with UK payroll legislation.
- Provide expert advice and support to clients and colleagues on payroll and pension matters.
- Identify and implement improvements to systems, workflows, efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain clear client communications, including updates and payroll guidance.

Qualifications
- CIPP qualification desirable but not essential.
- Payroll software experience such as Paycircle, Sage, Xero.
- Leadership experience and working with clients.
