Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Payroll Manager role based in York/Easingwold. You will:

  • Manage, mentor and develop the payroll team, ensuring workloads are managed effectively and deadlines are met.
  • Oversee accurate payroll processing across weekly, fortnight, four-weekly, monthly and annual cycles.
  • Set up and maintain pension schemes and provide ongoing pension administration and support.
  • Manage year-end procedures and ensure full compliance with UK payroll legislation.
  • Provide expert advice and support to clients and colleagues on payroll and pension matters.
  • Identify and implement improvements to systems, workflows, efficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintain clear client communications, including updates and payroll guidance.

Qualifications

  • CIPP qualification desirable but not essential.
  • Payroll software experience such as Paycircle, Sage, Xero.
  • Leadership experience and working with clients.
