Payroll Manager (sole role)

Location: London (Hybrid) Salary: £45,000–£50,000 Contract: 12-Month Full-Time Contract

About the Role

We’re recruiting for an experienced Payroll Manager to lead a busy in-house payroll function, supporting both weekly and monthly runs. This is an ideal opportunity for a payroll professional who thrives in a dynamic role within a small team.

Collaborating with Finance and HR, you will oversee the full payroll lifecycle, ensuring compliance with UK legislation, accurate employee records, and driving business decisions through payroll reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Payroll Administration:
    • Manage end-to-end weekly and monthly payroll processes across diverse contracts and worker populations.
    • Handle starters, leavers, statutory payments, pensions, expenses, and year-end processes.
    • Prepare payroll journals, reconciliations, and reporting to support finance activities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
