WHO WE ARE

At Trustly, we're building a smarter, faster, and more secure financial future by revolutionizing the world of payments. As a global leader in Open Banking Payments, we are establishing Pay by Bank as the new standard at checkout, providing unparalleled freedom, speed, and ease to millions of consumers and merchants worldwide.

Our Ambition: To build the world’s most disruptive payment network and redefine what the payment experience should feel like.

Trustly is a global team of innovators, collaborators, and doers. If you are driven by a strong sense of purpose and thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and high-growth environment, join us and be part of a team that’s transforming the way the world pays.

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Payroll Manager to support our global payroll function. Reporting directly to the Global Payroll Director, this role will own the end-to-end operational efficiency, accuracy and compliance of the payroll process for specific geographies, with a small team reporting into you. The ideal candidate will have some management experience already, be a proven team player, have good technical payroll knowledge [in some or all of the geographies], have experience working with global payroll platforms, with experience with NetSuite and HiBob an advantage.

This team will be responsible for the delivery of a payroll transformation project, and as such, experience in executing the transition from fragmented payroll providers to a global payroll platform will be beneficial.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Leadership & Payroll Administration

  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing payroll team responsible for Europe and ensuring delivery of accurate and timely payroll for those countries.
  • Process Transformation and improvement: Taking a key role in the execution of the transition of payroll delivery from a group of suppliers, to a single global payroll platform. This role will be responsible for ensuring that all the compliance, legal, operational and timing needs for the assigned geographies can be tracked and met.
  • Policy & Procedure: Participate in the process of ensuring a group of comprehensive payroll policies and standard operating procedures to maintain a strong internal control environment and ensure compliance with company policies and local statutory requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
