Payroll Officer (hybrid)
Payroll Officer – £29,500 – £31,500 (Dependent on Experience)

About the Role
The Payroll Officer will join a diverse team, reporting into the Payroll Team Leader. After completing mandatory training, you will be responsible for:

- Producing weekly and monthly payrolls from cradle to grave (full-cycle processing)
- Working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure payroll accuracy
Responsibilities
Key duties include (but are not limited to):
- Providing high-quality payroll and pensions services to internal business areas, including acting as the point of contact for all payroll-related queries.
- Adhering to service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Driving payroll process improvements to enhance:
- Efficiency
- Internal controls
- Employee experience
- Delivering payroll, pensions, and colleague expenses reports.
- Ensuring compliance with:
- Internal controls
- HMRC legislation
- Pension regulations
- Audit standards
- Building strong stakeholder relationships with:
- Finance
- HR
- Third-party providers
- Supporting risk management, issue resolution, and governance.
- Following established best practice guidelines while maintaining a robust controls framework.

Requirements
Essential Experience
- Recent experience producing payroll from cradle to grave
- Strong oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Training Provided
- Full training available to enable you to produce independent payrolls from start to finish.
