Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 (depending on experience) Permanent, 37.5 hours per week Remote, UK About Us We provides impactful products and services to help schools and over 100 MATs manage their people effectively. About the Role We are looking for a dedicated Payroll Officer to join our team. You will be integral to our mission of removing the administrative burden of payroll and pension management from our customers, who are primarily within the education sector. Your day-to-day will involve: Managing a portfolio of customers' monthly payroll operations from start to finish. Ensuring all staff are paid correctly and within specified deadlines. Updating the payroll system with current pay scales, pension rates, NI rates, and tax thresholds. Calculating pay adjustments, including holiday pay for leavers and statutory payments (maternity, paternity, etc.). Ensuring accurate payments and reporting to external stakeholders, including HMRC. Maintaining strict compliance with GDPR and ISO27001 data protection standards. About You The ideal candidate is a team player who is polite, empathetic, and committed to world-class customer service. We are looking for someone who: Educated to degree level and/or holds a relevant payroll qualification. Has previous experience in payroll processing (education sector experience is a bonus). Possesses a solid understanding of HMRC requirements, including Tax, NI, and statutory deductions. Has experience with Auto Enrolment pension schemes. Is proficient in Google Suite, and can analyse and interpret data. Shows proactivity in utilising AI to enhance their job Displays high attention to detail and the ability to multi-task under pressure. Desirable: Knowledge of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) or Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS). We offer a supportive environment where wellbeing and professional growth are prioritised.
