PAYROLL / ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT - ABINGDON - OXFORDSHIRE: JO23355
Accountancy Elite are proud to be partnered with a client of ours in a well-established firm of Chartered Accountants in their search for a well-experienced bookkeeper / accounts assistant, to join their small and friendly team.
This is an amazing opportunity for a practice professional with experience in bookkeeping / payroll / accounts or all three. The individual will have a forward-thinking attitude and a desire to learn and develop further.

Key Role Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping for Companies, Partnerships, Sole Traders, and Charities
- Preparing Payroll for a portfolio of clients - weekly and monthly
- Preparation of VAT returns - monthly or quarterly
- Preparation of Accounts
- Managing and maintaining a portfolio of clients
- Supporting the partners/directors
- Managing workload in order to meet deadlines
Candidates Requirements
- Previous Accountancy Practice experience
- Bookkeeping and Payroll experience essential
- Experience maintaining a portfolio of payroll clients
- Ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines
- Ideally studying AAT
