Payroll Senior Executive
As one of our Payroll Senior Executives, you'll be responsible for delivering accurate and timely payroll services for a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with legislation and internal standards.
The role involves maintaining strong client relationships, supporting team operations, and contributing to process improvements. You'll also be involved with managing complex payrolls, mentoring colleagues, and driving best practice across the team.

Key Responsibilities
Accurately process payrolls of varying complexity in line with client deadlines and statutory requirements. Perform manual calculations for gross-to-net payslips, including complex tax codes, high tax bandings, and retrospective adjustments. Independently manage a portfolio of complex payrolls, proactively plan workload, and provide compliance guidance to clients. Maintain strong, professional relationships with clients throughout the payroll cycle. Keep up to date with Auto-Enrolment (AE) legislation, statutory absence rules, and HMRC requirements. Apply GDPR principles and maintain confidentiality at all times. Share knowledge and provide guidance to junior team members. Mentor and coach team members, contribute to process improvements, and act as a role model for Dains Values. Manage workload effectively and seek support when needed.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Level 3 Payroll Qualification or equivalent experience. Experience with payroll software (e.g. Paycircle) and integrations. Proven ability to manage complex payrolls and mentor team members. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in MS Office; advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) desirable. Ability to work to deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
