About The Role

Our client, a prominent media company based in London, is seeking an immediate, temporary Payroll Specialist to join their dynamic team for a period of 12 months. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced environment, supporting the organization’s payroll operations and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and external agencies. The role requires a proactive individual with a solid background in payroll administration, preferably with experience using ADP payroll systems.

Qualifications

  • At least 3+ years of experience in payroll processing
  • Strong understanding of payroll systems and compliance requirements
  • Experience working with ADP is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with statutory and enhanced leave calculations such as maternity, paternity, and shared leave
  • Must be immediately available or available with a one-week notice period
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Collate all monthly payroll data from various systems within specified deadlines to ensure accurate and timely data entry.
  • Review and verify daily interface transactions to maintain data integrity.
  • Process and calculate payments for new joiners, leavers, and adhoc payroll adjustments.
  • Calculate and process statutory and enhanced leave entitlements, including maternity, paternity, and shared leave.
  • Ensure payrolls are processed, checked, and approved in accordance with audit standards and SBOX requirements.
  • Address and resolve payroll-related queries by liaising with the nominated agency contact promptly.
  • Complete the RTI (Real Time Information) submissions and generate necessary reports for compliance.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with external agencies to deliver exceptional payroll services.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during payroll data audits and reviews.
  • Collaborate closely with the UK HRIS team to support reporting requirements and system updates.
  • Conduct monthly auto-enrolment checks using AME compliance software to ensure adherence to pension regulations.
  • Upload new joiner data and payment files for pension contributions through Aviva, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
