Title: Payroll Specialist
Status: Contingent Worker
Salary: up to £419 per day via Umbrella
Location: London
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 - 17:00 (hybrid 2/3 days per week)
Start date: ASAP
An international organisation is looking for a temporary payroll specialist to join their HR team.
Payroll Specialist - Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the processing and checking of London and Dublin payrolls
- Support the Payroll team in providing an excellent service to our employees
- Support the use of HR Service Now to handle Payroll related queries from employees and stakeholders in a timely manner - prioritising of urgent queries and ensuring response / solution is provided, keeping in line with SLA’s.
- Assisting with dealing with more complex queries – non-standard, or exceptions to policy and process.
- Running various reports at payroll cut off for the processing of starters, leavers and transfers
- Calculation of prorated pay
- Management and tracking of statutory parental leave cases
- Processing of annual bonuses and salary increases
- Processing Global Mobility arrangements, hypothetical tax and UK shadow payroll
- Processing of Non Executive directors payroll
- Input of various flexible benefits onto payroll
- Management of pension contributions through payroll and sending monthly schedules to pension provider
- Working closely with our Tax advisors to gain an understanding of more complex taxation arrangements
- Producing Payroll accounting reports for Finance teams of each entity
- Producing payments for HMRC, Charity and Pension contributions
- Responsible for various port payroll tasks including the distribution of P45s
- Preparation of class 1A NIC reporting and P11d
- Supporting the annual PSA processes for all entities
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity, prioritise, report and act on system errors in a timely manner

Payroll Specialist - Experience
- Previous experience in UK payroll administration as a minimum is desired
- High level of IT literacy in particular Excel is desired
- Strong customer services focus
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and influence peers and stakeholders
- Good eye for and attention to detail
- Numerate, logical, organised, flexible and creative approach to problem solving
