Payroll Supervisor
Location: Central London (hybrid working)
Length: 6 months (FTC or Daily Rate) potential to go permanent.
Salary: £60,000-70,000 or Temp option inside IR35
We are looking for a Payroll Supervisor to join our client, a global retail organisation with a growing international presence. This opportunity would suit an experienced payroll professional with strong multi-country payroll expertise, excellent stakeholder management skills and experience managing outsourced payroll providers.
You’ll take ownership of payroll delivery across Europe and APAC, supporting approximately 2500+ employees and leading a small team of payroll professionals.
What you'll do:
- Oversee multi-country payroll delivery globally.
- Lead and support a small payroll team, providing guidance and development.
- Manage relationships with outsourced payroll partners and ensure high service standards.
- Work closely with HR, Finance and key stakeholders to maintain accurate and compliant payroll processes.
- Support payroll projects, system improvements and process optimisation.
- Provide expertise on complex payroll queries and international payroll matters.

What You’ll Need:
- Strong experience managing payroll operations within an international environment.
- Proven experience working with outsourced payroll providers.
- Previous team leadership or people management experience.
- Good understanding of UK and European payroll legislation.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence handling large datasets.
- Experience with payroll systems, HRIS and integrations.
- Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
