Payroll Supervisor
Location: Central Reading
Working pattern: Full-time, 5 days per week in the office
We are a growing SME accountancy practice based in Central Reading, seeking an experienced Payroll Supervisor to manage a varied portfolio of payroll clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end processing of multiple client payrolls (weekly, fortnightly, monthly)
- Manage and review payroll for a portfolio of SME clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Act as the main point of contact for payroll-related client queries
- Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations, RTI submissions, auto-enrolment, and statutory payments
- Support, review, and mentor junior payroll staff
- Liaise with HMRC and pension providers as required

Key Requirements
- Proven experience in payroll within an accountancy practice or bureau environment
- Strong working knowledge of UK payroll legislation and compliance
- Confident in managing multiple deadlines and client relationships
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Payroll qualifications (e.g. CIPP) are desirable but not essential
