Payroll/Bookkeeping Administrator

Experienced Bookkeeper/Payroll Assistant

We have an exciting new opportunity to join our team here at Office Support.

Responsibilities

  • Day to day bookkeeping activities
  • Managing purchase and sales ledgers
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Conducting bank reconciliations
  • Regular communication with clients regarding their bookkeeping duties
  • Contacting client customers or suppliers as required
  • Liaising with HMRC
  • Full-cycle payroll processing

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of basic VAT, employee tax, and pension regulations, with the ability to research and consult specialists when needed
  • Adherence to confidentiality and data protection practices
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping and payroll
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work to strict deadlines
  • Proficiency in computerised payroll packages and Microsoft Excel
  • Preferable but not essential experience with Sage Accounts or Xero software
