JSM Airport Services, LLC is seeking a qualified and experienced Passenger Boarding Bridge Subject Matter Expert to join our team. This is a career-track opportunity, and we are looking for individuals ready to commit to a long-term professional future with our company, with an expected commitment of at least 1 year. The Passenger Boarding Bridge Subject Matter Expert (PBB SME) will provide expert-level technical support and knowledge for the design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of passenger boarding bridges used at airports. You will act as the primary resource for all technical aspects of PBB systems, ensuring efficient and safe operations in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Annual Salary: Starting at $85,000 (Dependent on Experience)
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm; however, occasional changes in the work schedule may occur, based on operational needs at any of our locations.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the go-to technical expert for all matters related to Passenger Boarding Bridges, including mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on the design, installation, commissioning, and ongoing support of PBB systems.
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of PBB systems into airport infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot complex PBB issues, provide technical analysis, and implement corrective actions for system failures and deficiencies.
- Oversee the preventive maintenance program for PBBs, ensuring systems are regularly checked and operational.
- Conduct training sessions for maintenance and operational teams to enhance their technical understanding of PBB systems and troubleshooting techniques.
- Review and validate technical documentation, including manuals, drawings, and specifications, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards, warranty requirements, and project timelines.
- Perform regular site inspections to monitor the performance and safety of PBB systems and suggest improvements or upgrades as necessary.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes affecting PBB systems and airport operations.
- Provide input and feedback to the development and implementation of airport master plans, expansion projects, and upgrades involving PBB systems.
- Willingness to be available for on-call support and emergency troubleshooting when required.
- Safety and compliance training as required.
- Perform other reasonable ancillary duties to support the operation and our customer.

Qualifications:
- Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in technical support or operations of Passenger Boarding Bridges or related airport infrastructure.
- Extensive knowledge of PBB systems, including control systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and software integration.
- Strong understanding of airport operations, safety standards, and regulatory requirements (such as FAA, ICAO).
- Proven experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, and commissioning of PBB systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities, with experience in training and supporting technical teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and proactive mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in specialized PBB systems or equipment.
- Project management experience in the context of airport infrastructure.
- Knowledge of emerging trends in automation and digitalization of airport boarding bridge systems.
- Multilingual capabilities to engage with international stakeholders (depending on location).

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in an airport environment, which may involve exposure to varying weather conditions.
- Ability to perform on-site inspections, including lifting, bending, and climbing when necessary.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to sit, stand, push, pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, or crawl on a frequent basis.
- Ability to lift up-to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job may include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Additional Requirements:
The employee must be able to successfully pass a drug screening, a drivers’ license check and validation, a ten (10) year Criminal History Records Check (CHRC), federal fingerprinting and security threat assessment as well as airport security badging.
Continued employment is subject to all the above requirements on an ongoing basis, failure of passing any of the above requirements may result in immediate termination.
