Make a real difference through Positive Behavioural Support

Are you passionate about improving the lives of people with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs? Do you want to be part of a forward-thinking clinical team that values compassion, quality, and evidence-based practice?

We are looking for a Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) Practitioner to join our expanding Clinical Team at Care Without Compromise. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your clinical skills while helping to embed psychologically informed, person-centred care across our services.

About The Role

As a PBS Practitioner, you will play a key role in delivering and embedding Positive Behavioural Support across our homes. Working under the supervision of a Consultant Clinical Psychologist or Behaviour Clinical Specialist, you will support meaningful, lasting change for the people we support.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting behavioural assessments and analysing data to inform care
  • Developing and implementing person-centred PBS plans
  • Supporting staff teams through coaching, modelling, and hands-on practice
  • Contributing to risk assessments and crisis support
  • Monitoring outcomes and producing clear, high-quality reports
  • Delivering training and developing learning resources for staff
  • Attending multi-disciplinary meetings and contributing to care planning
  • Supporting service improvement through audits and evaluation

About You

We’re looking for someone who is compassionate, analytical, and motivated to make a difference.

Essential:

  • Honours degree in Psychology (or a relevant Health & Social Care subject) at 2:1 or above.
  • Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and/or mental health needs
  • Experience supporting people who display behaviours that challenge
  • Knowledge or experience of Positive Behavioural Support
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to person-centred, least restrictive practice

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
