Mildmay Oaks Full-time | 37.5 hours per week | Site based £35,000 per annum
Located in the semi-rural setting of Hook, Hampshire, Priory Hospital Mildmay Oaks supports the NHS by delivering low secure and Level 2 rehabilitation services for adults. Our specialist services include a 26-bed Rehabilitation and Recovery service for men and women aged 18+, a 14-bed low secure unit for men aged 18+, and bespoke therapeutic placements for adults and young people across the site.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team that is committed to our patients' well-being. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a PBS Practitioner, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
Key responsibilities include: Supporting behavioural assessments and PBS interventions Delivering person-centred care and therapeutic activities Assisting with the implementation and review of care plans Promoting a safe, structured, and recovery-focused environment Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams Supporting positive outcomes through holistic, integrated care Contributing to high-quality, innovative mental health services

What you'll bring to the role
Essential Qualifications & Experience Formal qualification in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) or a related field (e.g. Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Applied Behaviour Analysis, Autism Studies). Experience conducting behavioural assessments and developing, implementing, and reviewing PBS interventions. Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism. Knowledge of safeguarding, risk management, and the Mental Health Act (1983). Experience producing reports and maintaining accurate records. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes. Desirable Criteria Experience delivering Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) training. Proven track record of reducing restrictive practices and promoting positive outcomes. Experience working within multidisciplinary healthcare or mental health settings.
