PCB Assembler

About the Company

We are seeking an experienced Production Operative / PCB Assembler to join a growing manufacturing team within a high-quality Defence and Aerospace environment.

About the Role

This role is ideal for candidates with a background in electronic assembly, PCB manufacturing, wiring, cable assembly and harness build.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble PCBs, cable harnesses, wiring looms and electronic assemblies.
  • Carry out soldering, wiring and over-moulding activities.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and work instructions.
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards.
  • Follow IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, J-STD-001 and other relevant manufacturing standards where applicable.
  • Adhere to Health & Safety and environmental procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement and 5S activities within production.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in PCB assembly, electronics assembly or cable and harness assembly.
  • Strong soldering and wiring experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions.
  • Experience within Defence, Aerospace or a regulated manufacturing environment is advantageous.
  • IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620 or J-STD-001 certification is desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a right-first-time approach.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience within Defence, Aerospace or a regulated manufacturing environment is advantageous.
