PCB Design Engineer

Location: Chesterfield

Role Type: Fully Employed, Office Based, Fully Onsite

About the Role

This opportunity positions you to design and develop advanced PCB (Printed Circuit Board) solutions for industrial applications in a supportive onsite environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design analogue and digital electronic circuits for industrial needs
  • Develop PCB layouts, including multi-layer designs with precision
  • Select components while considering lifecycle and availability
  • Work closely with embedded software engineers on hardware–software integration
  • Support prototyping, testing, and validation processes
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams and external suppliers
  • Maintain robust documentation in compliance with standards such as ISO 9001

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in electronic circuit design and PCB layout
  • Proficiency in tools like Altium, KiCad, or alternatives
  • Deep understanding of mixed-signal design principles
  • Strong debugging and fault-finding skills
  • Awareness of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements
  • Knowledge of design for manufacture (DFM) principles
  • Ability to work full-time on-site, utilising lab and test equipment
  • Willingness to travel as needed
