PCB Layout Engineer (Onsite)

Solihull, United Kingdom

Contract: Initial 3–6 months (extension possible)
100% onsite using client-provided IT infrastructure and engineering tools

Role Summary

Ace Global Tech Services Co is seeking experienced PCB Layout Engineers to support electronic control system development activities under an off-load engineering strategy. You will deliver PCB layout and design for one or more PCB development projects, ensuring component placement, routing, power distribution, and manufacturing requirements are fully met. You will collaborate closely with client electronics, hardware, and systems engineering teams to produce high-quality PCB layouts compliant with design, electrical, manufacturing, reliability, and documentation requirements. Success in this role requires credible technical judgment, clear communication, and the ability to deliver high-quality output at speed in an uncertain, fast-changing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop PCB layouts for electronic control and embedded hardware products.
  • Perform component placement considering electrical, thermal, mechanical, EMC/EMI, and manufacturing constraints.
  • Route signal, power, and ground connections according to design guidelines and project requirements.
  • Create and maintain multilayer PCB designs, ensuring strong signal integrity and power integrity.
  • Implement design rules and constraints provided by engineering teams and maintain robust design-rule discipline.
  • Support design reviews and incorporate feedback from hardware, system, and manufacturing engineers.
  • Generate PCB fabrication and assembly outputs in accordance with project standards and release procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, reliability, configuration management, and documentation requirements.
  • Collaborate with hardware design engineers to resolve layout-related issues efficiently and transparently.
  • Support design iterations resulting from engineering change requests and evolving requirements.
  • Participate in technical reviews and project status meetings, providing clear progress updates and risks.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
