About The Job
Build the design libraries behind the hardware powering next-generation AI systems.
As a PCB CAD Librarian, you will manage the engineering data that enables Graphcore teams to design complex AI hardware with confidence. Your work will support the accuracy, consistency, and scalability of development across multiple hardware programmes.
You will maintain CAD libraries, control design data releases, and improve engineering workflows used across the business. You will work closely with PCB designers, schematic engineers, and manufacturing operations teams to solve problems and strengthen development processes.
This role offers broad visibility across hardware engineering and manufacturing. You will help shape the foundations that allow teams to move quickly while maintaining high engineering standards.
The Team and Culture
The Hardware PCB Design team supports the tools, workflows, and engineering environments used across Graphcore’s hardware organisation. The team works closely with schematic design and signal integrity engineers to keep development efficient and reliable.
Work is collaborative, practical, and detail-focused. Engineers are trusted to improve processes, raise issues early, and contribute ideas that make systems work better.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
