Job Title: Bus Driver – Tunbridge Wells Depot Location: Tunbridge Wells, Dependent on Locations Chosen (rolling basis) Pay: £16.85–£17.87 per hour Weekday rate: £16.85 Overtime (including bank holidays): £17.87 Negotiations: Pay rates reviewed frequently

Responsibilities
- Drive safely, efficiently, and courteously while adhering to schedules, company, and legal policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service, including assistance with boarding, fare collection, and emergency support.
- Build rapport with regular passengers and localized community engagement across rotations.
- Maintain vehicle hygiene and perform daily pre- and post-checks.
- Operational duties: Overtime availability; adherence to flexible shift scheduling (accepted 5/7 duty).

Requirements
- Age: 18+ years
- Licence: A passed PCV driving test is required (unless applying for our paid Trainee role for licence support).
- Licence check: No more than 6 penalty points.
- Medical & lifestyle: Pass drug and alcohol screening.
- Attributes:
- Strong customer service skills.
- Professional attitude and discretion.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts (additional flex for overtime).
Hours of Work
- Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts every 5/7 days (planned 6–8 weeks in advance for ease of planning).
- Possible Start Times:
- Mornings: 04:00 AM
- Afternoons: 12:00 PM
- Evenings: 18:00 PM
- Note: Arriva cannot consistently offer fixed peak-hour slots (early shifts, afternoons, or evenings) separately.
