Physical Education (P.E.) Teacher – North Bend STEM Academy

About the Role
ACCEL Schools is recruiting a dedicated, passionate Physical Education Teacher to inspire and engage students at North Bend STEM Academy in Cincinnati, Ohio. Our teaching professionals foster an environment that prioritizes student learning and social-emotional development, ensuring each child thrives academically and personally.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver dynamic lesson plans, adjusting instruction throughout the school year as needed
- Differentiate instruction to cater to the diverse needs of all students
- Track and maintain accurate records of student progress and development
- Apply research-based best practices in both lesson planning and classroom instruction
- Implement positive behavioral management strategies to ensure a supportive learning environment
- Incorporate school-approved curricula that respects and integrates varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds
- Foster a school-wide culture aligned with ACCEL’s values and expectations
- Engage in open communication with families to share their child’s academic and social-emotional progress
- Integrate technology to enhance and support student learning
- Collaborate on non-instructional school activities (when needed)
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to build a cohesive team environment
- Perform other duties as assigned by the school leadership
Requirements
Qualifications
- Active and current Ohio teaching license in Physical Education (or applicable content area)
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Health & Physical Education, or a related field
- Strong comfort with a growth-focused coaching environment, including frequent classroom observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
- Proven ability to supervise students (K-12) in diverse school settings (classroom, playground, cafeteria, etc.)
- Willingness to pass federal and state criminal background checks

Compensation & Salary
- Salary range: $41,000 – $50,500 (annually, subject to factoring geography, experience, education, and relevant qualifications)
