The Pensions Administration Apprentice Role
The Pensions Administration Apprentice will provide high-quality pension administration services while supporting a structured learning programme in a friendly, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

Calculating pension benefits for members, including:
- Leavers
- Retirees
- Transfers
- Death claims

Maintaining and updating membership records on our administrative systems

Handling general and technical enquiries from members, employers, and trustees:
- Telephone
- Postal correspondence

Supporting the team with:
- Processing daily and urgent workloads
- Resolving enquiries regarding benefit entitlements
- Creating and maintaining scheme records
- Liaising with third parties

Ensuring workloads are managed efficiently to meet service targets, escalating concerns where necessary

Responding to inbound phone and email queries with strict verification checks

Researching and producing timely client reports and periodic data

Supporting scheme event activities and projects while developing technical knowledge through training

Collaborating in technical briefings, gaining familiarity with benefit structures, and applying formal documentation

Essential Qualifications
- Educated to A Level standard or equivalent required
- **GCSE GC in Mathematics & English (Grades 5+}) or equivalent
- Note: Applicable qualifications must be achieved by the start of employment
- Must have permission to work in the UK
Core Competencies
- Numeracy: Must demonstrate proficiency for workplace calculations
- Apprenticeship commitment: Ready to complete the full qualification cycle
- Grade 5 in GCSE Maths & English* (excitatory for some desk areas)
