We're working with a leading pensions consultancy looking to recruit an experienced Pension Administration Consultant to join its growing team in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in Defined Benefit pensions administration who has experience managing client relationships and overseeing the delivery of high-quality administration services.
You'll act as the day-to-day contact for a portfolio of pension scheme clients, working closely with internal administration teams to ensure service standards are met, projects are delivered successfully and clients receive an exceptional level of support.

The Role
You'll be responsible for:
- Managing day-to-day relationships with a portfolio of Defined Benefit pension scheme clients.
- Overseeing the delivery of pension administration services, ensuring work is completed accurately, on time and in line with agreed service levels.
- Reviewing complex pensions administration work completed by junior team members.
- Working closely with trustees, employers and key stakeholders to ensure a high-quality member experience.
- Planning and coordinating scheme projects, annual events and regulatory changes.
- Monitoring project budgets, monthly billing and service delivery.
- Keeping up to date with pensions legislation and ensuring compliance across your client portfolio.
- Coaching and supporting junior members of the team while sharing technical knowledge and best practice.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance client service.
About You

To be successful in this role you'll have:
- Strong Defined Benefit pensions administration experience gained within a consultancy or third-party administration environment.
- Previous experience managing client relationships and acting as the main point of contact for pension scheme clients.
- Excellent technical knowledge of DB pension schemes and current UK pensions legislation.
- Experience reviewing complex pensions administration work and supporting more junior colleagues.
- Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.
- A commercial approach with the ability to manage priorities across multiple clients.
- APMI qualification (or working towards) would be advantageous but is not essential.
