The role is primarily responsible for ensuring the software delivers the expected solutions to a high quality within a budget and timeframe What you will do to be successful in this role as Pensions Calculation Analyst Key responsibilities: Ensure all requests for development changes are recorded for monitoring/tracking. Ensure feature requirements undergo formal review Work closely with the development team to ensure that product quality is always maximised and time against development effort is recorded. Work closely with the development team to provide estimates of work based on technical/business data available and allocated resources. Lead the design review process along with all other stakeholders. Proactively support other team members and share knowledge and skills. Ensure software developed is of high quality and meets requirements. Liaise with clients, business partners, internal stakeholders, and any other sources possible, to gain a clear understanding of the client and market requirements. Influencing the product strategy by continuously monitoring market needs, considering technological advancements, competitor products and the changing requirements of customers Produce and maintain customer facing product documentation that is clear and concise and follows defined standards. Mentoring of other member of staff when required to maximise their knowledge including Customer Support, Service Delivery and Sales/Presales teams. Act as a knowledge source internally, providing training, advising on current functionality & legislation. Engage effectively with customer facing teams ensuring they have up to date product knowledge needed to provide excellent customer service. Lead on Product User Groups and other forums as required to ensure our customer community has a voice in directing our roadmap. Keep abreast of legislation and market trends and develop propositions to enable Civica to deliver solutions which meet the requirements of the Regulatory Services sector. Assist in tender or bids for Sales and Bids support as required. A sound knowledge of software development processes in an Agile environment. Up to date understanding of technical pensions legislation Ability to review and extract relevant information from Pensions Regulations and other technical documentation Ability to produce detailed calculation proforma and comprehensive test parameters Ability to communicate and translate technical pensions criteria to non pensions technical colleagues An aptitude to learn the product and the platform capabilities. The ability to write user stories to a high standard. Excellent IT skills, including knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365 Suite. An aptitude for written communication and an ability to produce comprehensive documentation. An analytical approach to problem solving. Enjoy working as part of a team and can work with your own initiative. Strong verbal communication skills; Focused on quality; Capacity to multitask. Ability to travel to other Civica offices and customer sites where required. Strong communication and influencing skills are required to be successful in this role. The person will need to be comfortable liaising with senior business managers as well as technicians and architects across the division. In addition, the candidate may work directly with customers to understand their requirements. Working knowledge of Azure DevOps as an Agile planning tool. Experience of UX and UI design principles. An ability to influence others regardless of position/seniority for stakeholder management. Strong customer facing skills with the ability to represent the company in a confident and professional manner. Knowledge of the pensions industry, private sector or local government schemes Excellent communication skills, confident and assured speaking and collaborating with senior stakeholders, technical development teams, and non-technical teams Comfortable in front of customers, partners, and suppliers High levels of enthusiasm and drive, and ability to motivate wider team We Want You to Bring Your Whole Self to Work
