Pensions Lawyer (NQ-Managing Associate) | Leading International Law Firm | Leeds

A leading national law firm is looking to grow its highly regarded Pensions team with the appointment of a Pensions Lawyer. Recognised as one of the largest specialist pensions practices in the UK, the team advises a national client base ranging from trustees and providers to sponsoring employers and some of the country's largest pension schemes.

This opportunity is open to pensions lawyers at all levels, from NQ through to experienced practitioners, with the team keen to shape the role around the right individual.

The Role:

  • Advising trustees, providers and sponsoring employers on all aspects of UK pensions law.
  • Supporting clients on scheme governance, benefit issues, member complaints and regulatory matters.
  • Working on complex restructuring, liability management and corporate transaction-related pensions work.
  • Managing matters from instruction through to completion and taking ownership of client relationships.
  • Playing an active role in business development and helping to further grow the team's national profile.
  • Opportunities to supervise and mentor junior lawyers as your career progresses.

The Candidate:

  • Newly qualified lawyer with a Pensions seat, or a qualified Solicitor with experience in a recognised pensions law team.
  • Strong technical pensions law knowledge and drafting skills.
  • Experience advising on UK pension schemes and associated regulatory issues.
  • Commercially minded with strong client relationship and communication skills.
  • Keen to develop a long-term career in pensions law within a leading national team.
  • Applications are welcomed from lawyers at any PQE level, including those newly qualified and those seeking a more senior opportunity.
