Pensions Manager (Benefits Processing)

Shared Pensions Administration Service Manager

About The Borough

Joining us, you get to work for not just one high-performing London Borough—but two: Sutton and Kingston.

Sutton and Kingston councils operate under shared services, meaning many teams and roles cater to both authorities. This creates a richer, more dynamic environment where you can:

  • Learn from a broader range of activities.
  • Engage with two distinct political bodies and governance structures.
  • Access multiple career development opportunities.

We offer flexible working, supporting hybrid models, home working, and agile hours that allow you to balance work and personal life. We provide all the necessary equipment (including Google Chromebooks) to facilitate flexibility, and we expect team members to use this structure to innovate and enhance service delivery.

Both Boroughs are undergoing transformative projects

Sutton’s Vision: “Ambitious for Sutton”

  • Leading local partnerships and resident engagement initiatives.
  • A proud Liberal Democrat-led administration driving sustainable growth.
  • Renowned for exceptional schools, green spaces, and a rich cultural heritage.

Kingston’s Vision: “Greener, Fairer, Safer, Together”

  • A Royal Borough with UNESCO-designated cultural status, scenic Thames-side location, and historic English parks (Richmond and Bushy Park).
  • Also Liberal Democrat-led, offering a borough plan that prioritises climate action, resilience, and inclusion.
  • Active in the South West London strategy, fostering regional connectivity.

Why Choose Sutton & Kingston?

If you seek a role that challenges you, supports your ambitions, and puts residents at the forefront of every decision, this is the opportunity for you.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
