About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the public sector as a Pensions Scheme Specialist, where you will play a key role in overseeing and improving governance frameworks within the pensions industry. Based in Brighton, this role will allow you to utilise your expertise in accounting and finance while contributing to the success of a vital department.

Description

  • Monitor governance frameworks within the pensions industry to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert advice on accounting and finance matters related to pensions governance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to improve operational processes.
  • Develop and implement policies to enhance governance standards.
  • Review and analyse data to identify risks and recommend solutions.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date with changes in pensions legislation and ensure organisational alignment.
  • Support the delivery of projects aimed at improving governance within the public sector.

Profile

A Successful Pensions Scheme Specialist Should Have

  • A strong background in accounting and finance, ideally within the public sector or pensions industry.
  • Proven ability to analyse data and provide insightful recommendations.
  • Experience in developing and implementing governance policies and frameworks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and engaging with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of pensions legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a professional environment.
