Position: People Administrator

Reports to: People Partner

Location: Head Office - London (minimum of 3 days per week in the office)

Zizzi is a nationwide restaurant group with 134 sites employing 3,200 people up and down the country. This role is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment where you'll take ownership of key People processes, reporting, and compliance activities while developing your expertise across the wider People function.

The HR team consists of 6 people including this role and sits within the wider People Team of 13, which includes the Training Team and our Internal Communications Team too.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and organized People Administrator to join our People Team. Whether you've recently graduated or hold a CIPD Level 3 qualification (or are working towards Level 5), this is an excellent opportunity to build a career in HR within a fast-paced hospitality business.

You'll gain exposure across the full employee lifecycle while supporting our restaurants and managers with day-to-day People administration, employee relations, and HR systems. Around 20% of your role will also support Internal Communications and team events, giving you broad experience across the wider People function.


Purpose of role

The People Administrator provides efficient and accurate administrative support across the People Team, ensuring employee records, systems, and processes are maintained to a high standard.

You'll be the first point of contact for many People queries, support straightforward employee relations processes, maintain HR systems, and assist with communications and engagement activities.

The breadth of the role provides a great opportunity to gain experience across different areas of the People function, develop your skills, and build a career in People.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide administrative support across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contractual changes, leavers, and maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems.
  • Respond to first-line People queries, support employee relations administration, and monitor key compliance processes including Right to Work, family leave, and payroll deadlines.
  • Produce routine People reports, maintain HR data, and support system updates, audits, and general administrative activities across the People Team.
  • Approximately 20% of this role is supporting Internal Communications with colleague updates, newsletters, engagement initiatives, events, and wider team projects.

Essential Knowledge & Skills

  • HR degree or CIPD Level 3 qualification (or working towards CIPD Level 5).
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Confident using technology and able to learn new HR systems quickly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in an administrative, customer service, or HR support role.
  • Experience using HR systems or other business systems.
  • Experience working within hospitality, retail, or another fast-paced environment.
