People Advisor
Salary: Up to £42,000 DOE + EMI Share Scheme + Competitive Benefits package
Contract type: Full-time - (Part-time hours across Monday to Friday will also be considered. We offer flexible working hours to support different lifestyles and commitments)
Reporting to: Head of People
Location: Bristol (hybrid). Signable team members come into the office at least 3 x per quarterly, However, within the People team we aim to come into the office at least one day per week.

About the Role
What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Head of People, this role exists to help bring Signable's people plans to life through practical, people focused delivery. You'll work closely with managers and team leads across the business, providing day-to-day guidance, coaching and support to help them confidently manage their teams and create a great employee experience with a people first approach.
This is a broad, senior generalist role where no two days are the same. You'll own the delivery of People initiatives and projects set by the Head of People and Chief People Officer. You’ll be the go-to expert for employee relations, employment law and day-to-day People operations.

As we are a small People team, you'll take ownership of the operational foundations that keep everything running smoothly. You’ll be confident at supporting managers across all areas of the business, coaching them throughout all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
That means you'll be just as comfortable handling day-to-day People administration as you are delivering People projects. We believe getting the basics right creates the space to deliver an exceptional People experience.
The role will suit someone with experience in:
- Coaching and supporting managers through employee relations, performance and day-to-day people matters.
- Acting as a trusted employment law expert, translating legislation into practical guidance and policies.
- Delivering people initiatives and projects across the employee lifecycle.
- Owning people operations, ensuring HR systems, records and documentation remain accurate and compliant.
- Using people data and insights to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Working in a fast-paced, growing business where priorities evolve.

Main Responsibilities
- Partner with managers, providing practical advice and coaching on people matters.
- Lead employee relations cases fairly, consistently and in line with employment law.
- Own employment law updates, recommending improvements to policies and processes.
- Deliver People initiatives and projects that support our People strategy.
- Own core People operations, HR administration and HR systems.
- Maintain accurate employee records, reporting and compliance.
- Equip managers with the confidence and tools to lead effectively.
- Use data and feedback to improve the employee experience.
Our Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience in a People Partner, HR Advisor or similar generalist People role.
- Strong employee relations knowledge and up-to-date understanding of UK employment law.
- Experience coaching managers and influencing people decisions.
- Confident balancing operational People work with strategic projects.
- Comfortable working in a scaling business where priorities can change.
- Excellent relationship-building, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, organised and commercially minded approach with strong attention to detail.
And a massive bonus if:
- You've worked in a SaaS or technology business.
- You've improved people systems, processes or ways of working.
- You've supported organisational change initiatives.
- You have experience using BambooHR or another HRIS.
- You're always looking for ways to make the People experience even better.

Interview Timelines:

- 2nd Stage Paid Project (we give candidates the project for a week, however we recommend you spend 5 hours on your project)
